WYMIANA USZCZELKI GŁOWICY



    1. If replacing the cylinder head, transfer the valves, valve seals and valve springs to the new cylinder head  and reface valves if necessary

       
    1. If replacing the cylinder head, transfer the spark plugs to the new cylinder head

       
    1. Using a NEW gasket, Install the exhaust manifold. Using the sequence shown, tighten bolts/studs to 25 N·m (18 ft. lbs.).

      CAUTION:

      The cylinder head gaskets are not interchangeable between the left and right sides. They are marked with an “L” and “R” to indicate the left or right side and they are marked “TOP” to indicate which side goes up.

       
    1. Clean all gasket sealing surfaces of the cylinder block and cylinder heads using a suitable solvent.

      Left side shown, right side similar.

       
    1. Install the new cylinder head gaskets (1).

       
    1. Install the cylinder heads (2).

      Left side shown, right side similar.

       
    1. Using the sequence shown, tighten the cylinder head bolts 1 through 10 to 34 N·m (25 ft. lbs.).

       
    1. Using the sequence shown, tighten the cylinder head bolts 11 through 15 to 20 N·m (177 in. lbs.).

       
    1. Using the sequence shown, tighten the cylinder head bolts 1 through 10 to 61 N·m (45 ft. lbs.).

       
    1. Using the sequence shown, tighten the cylinder head bolts 11 through 15 to 28 N·m (21 ft. lbs.).

       
    1. Using the sequence shown, rotate the cylinder head bolts 1 through 10 an additional 90° turn.

       
    1. Install the push rods and rocker arm assemblies in their original position using Pushrod Retainer(1) 

       
    1. If Installing the right cylinder head, install the engine oil dip stick tube and nut.

       
    1. Install the cylinder head covers 

       
    1. Install the serpentine belt 

       
    1. Raise and support the vehicle 

       
    1. Install the catalytic converters (4) and tighten the nuts (3) to the proper 

       
    1. Connect the oxygen sensor wire harness connectors (2).

       
    1. Install the belly pan and fasteners (1).

       
    1. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.

       
    1. Install the intake manifold 

       
    1. Change the engine oil and oil filter 

       
    1. Fill the cooling system with the specified type and amount of engine coolant 

       
    1. Install the engine cover (2).

       
    1. Connect the negative battery cable.

       
    1. Start the engine and check for leaks.
